About Dhunge Dhara/Hiti (Stone Water Spout)
Dhunge dhara's origin deals with stone water sprouts located primarily inside the Kathmandu valley. Hiti — Dhunge Dhara, made of stone, is a channelised spout of water serving as a tap with a shrine attached. In Nepal, Hiti has existed since at least the last 15th centuries. These Dharas tap underground water [Dhunge Dhara: Case Study by Riddhi Pradhan] and were used as a primary source of water serving different water needs of the localities.
Modern Day Usage
In the modern day, brass models of the ancient stone sprouts have emerged. It is used instead of water taps in kitchens, it is specially placed on the gardens on resorts as well as even private homes. A similar usage can be placing it by making a small pond in your yards and placing it as in the picture (source: Wikipedia).
It is connected to the water source on one side and from the fish's mouth, water comes out. Use screws to keep it in place or any other techniques could also be used.
