About "Ghyampo":

Ghyampo or "Tyepa:" in Newari culture is a copper vessel that is used to store water and rice that were grown from fields since ancient period of time. Ghyampo was used to be made by Coppersmith class of the Nepali people's work tree. It was an essential part for an agricultural country like Nepal which used to receive rain very few times or rice grains only once or twice a year. It is used as a dowry or "gift" in Newari weddings. A typical ghyampo can store from 20kgs to 100kgs of rice and like upto a gallon of water.

Introduction of small ghyampos:

Eventually and gradually due to the unique shape of this product, miniature ghyampos were introduced. With the fact of it's cuteness, it is begun to use as a showpiece. Copper items inherently catch eyes of guests or even anyone visiting your house because of it's different color than rest of appliances, it's shine and it's unique shape from other cubical items. It is also used to store coins or pennies and used as a container of so due to it's lid and a capability to lock.

Usage:

You can use it as a showpiece in your racks, cupboards, keep it on middle of dining table, use it for storing coins or other small items. There is a capability of placing a small lock on the front. The lid can be opened as shown in the picture.
