Welcome to Nepali Maato

“Nepali Maato” is established to promote and empower  women entrepreneurs involved in M/SME’s and Micro Finance all over Nepal. With the support of Nepali women, we have come far in entrepreneurship. It has motivated us to utilize Nepalese resources and access to capital to the financially underserved, we have tried our best to motivate and encourage women to uplift entrepreneurship. Our involvement of women in small entrepreneurship and microfinance has encouraged them to overcome their financial barriers. Thus, holding hands together with Nepali Mato, many women are leading different organizations. 

Our Story

The four team members, Ms. Devika Budathoki, Ms. Sushama Sharma, Ms. Geeta Kathayat, and Ms. Bimala Thapa, who were already advocating and supporting women empowerment came in contact through an event. While they  met, all of them shared a common idea that women, if given proper support, could handle business responsibility and contribute to the economic growth of the country. Another common theme they found among themselves was that, each of them recognized that real Nepali products produced by Nepali entrepreneurs were not getting reliable platform to market and distribute their product. Hence, the four memebers of Nepali Mato joined hands to establish Nepali Mato with two major theme: Women Empowerment, and Promotion of Nepali Products.
