Ang Khola in terms of Kukri refers to the blades feature and means along the lines of “back hollow.” The “Ang Khola” blade has a hollow forged, valley like feature, a forged depression, which creates a ridge towards the middle of the blade. The effect is that the knife has a greater “chopping” factor and more front heavy then if the blade was plain.
“Sirupate” is actually a word derived from a plant found in the hilly regions of Nepal. “ Siru” is the plant and “ Paat” means its leaf ,“Ang Khola” means hollow forged, and this is what inspires the shape of the Sirupate Kukri with hollowed forged .It is easy to use by its weight reduction due to the hollowness, without compromising integrity or strength. Its blade is slim , thin and Light and thus very effective kukri knife. It is the most famous amongst the locals and is the first name in tongue when one speaks of khukuri . Its light weight ,easy to cut and carry , very effective and efficient and its appealing look have always kept its demand high.
