These are the Beaten Rice or Flattened Rice which are made from the rice that are beaten into flat structure, which converts them into light and dry flakes. These beaten rice are called Chiura (चिउरा) in Nepali. These are easily digestible raw form of rice. In Nepal it is very popular in Newari Cuisine as they use beaten rice in each and every kind of functions, ceremonies, festivels and gatherings. Beaten rice can be consumed with varieties of foods like milk, beans, curries, snacks, etc.
