One might wonder why people keep on producing such bags despite the invention of modern technology and materials to manufacture similar such stuffs in mass quantity at a surprisingly cheaper cost. But our main objective of producing such items is to keep this knitting tradition and skills alive by encouraging them through respectable remuneration so that the skills could be handed down from generation to generation as it was done in the past. On the other hand, it has also utilized the locally available resources and skills which would otherwise be wasted or forgotten while fulfilling the need of such ‘cultural’ objects (not just as merchandise) at the same time.

This is a totally hand-knitted Japanese style tote bag especially preferred by girls. Having had a height and width of 34cm and 38cm respectively, it features a stylish 22*20cm outer pocket with beautifully colored triple parallel crests along its three borders except along its top opening. The bag has compressed chain-style knitting while its base has centre-outward spiral knitting that makes its base look like a little flattened conical in shape. Its 50cm-long pair of sturdy handles has a unique hair braid style weaving with three clusters of yarns winding in homogenous pattern. The top of the main compartment has a cylindrical wooden button closure and the pocket has a round wooden button closure. This bag is useful for shopping, gym, beach, tour or any other social occasions. Every material used here is nature-friendly and bio-degradable.
